As I move forward with my pottery classes, I continue to study the greats.  Above, Lucie Rie pieces.  These are from the mid 1900's to the late 1900's.

Hans Coper, Pottery Inspiration #1

So I start my pottery classes this Sunday, and I've been studying the greats such as Lucie Rie, Sarah Walton and Hans Coper.  The pieces above are all Hans' elegant work.  If only I can throw clay the way he was able to.  He had such an amazing eye for detail, and his style was beyond!  I'm getting a little nervous for my classes, I just hope I can make a simple bowl or cylinder and not have the clay collapse.  I'll keep you all posted!  Wish me luck.
