Jennifer Aniston's Favorite Vacation Spot

While the rest of the world was focusing on Jennifer Aniston dissing "The Rachel" haircut and her clip in bangs from the Allure shoot and accompanying article, we were most interested in hearing about her favorite vacation spot:

"It's Anguilla in the Caribbean. It's just very far, not that easy to hop on a plane and go. I love the ability to really relax. Even if I'm just sitting in my house, I still have work, whether it's dealing with a production company or future project. What I love is the ocean. I hear it and go calm. It allows you to truly refuel."

We're betting Aniston rents a private villa when she goes, though the Viceory Anguilla is pretty spectacular.

There were many surprises on the red carpet at last night's Golden Globes. Some were hits, some were misses. So many of the ladies got the dress right but the hair and make-up were just completely wrong. Other ladies listened to the wrong advisers and went avant-garde when it didn't exactly fit their body or look. And a few were, as Goldilocks says, just right. Here are my picks for the best in show.

Ladies, the only thought we've ever had about Jesus Luz is that he made nice arm candy for Madonna. Well, the most famous Brazilian male model/DJ/celebrity ex gave an interview to Page 6 magazine, a supplement to tomorrow's New York Post, so we'll all get to know him a little bit better. But with quotes like, “Food, friends, music...and good sex” make him happy, we don't think his arm candy image is in danger.

Jen Aniston and Chelsea Handler's Thanksgiving Getaway

Man-we would have loved to have hear the chatter around the pool during Jennifer Aniston and Chelsea Handler's Thanksgiving getaway to Mexico! People.com reports that the two, along with Jen's yoga instructor, brother, manager, and others rented a villa in Cabo over the weekend. For Thanksgiving they had turkey, margs and chips--beats sweet potato casserole! Jen, God bless her, looks like she needs no help from Chelsea's post-vacation body deflator!

Christina Aguilera's Divorce

We were saddened to read that Christina Aguilera filed for divorce last week from her hubby of five years, Jordan Bratman. Not only because we believe in true love and commitment, but also because Page Six reported that the separation came hot on the heels of a girls getaway to Cabo San Lucas with friends Samantha Ronson and Nicole Richie. The gossip column reports that the duo were having problems long before the trip--and they do look miserable at the Lakers final championship game last June (above)--but the trip may have pushed Christina over the edge.

Katy Perry's Bachelorette Party

With Katy Perry and Russel Brand's wedding rumored to be less than a week away, we figure it's time we got around to dishing on her Las Vegas bachelorette party that BFF Rihanna threw for her in September.

Katy and friends reportedly romped at the Hard Rock Hotel's beach club during the day before checking out Cirque Du Soleil's KA at the MGM Grand Hotel/Casino (above), then dinner at AGO, dancing at XS, and a late night visit to the Sapphire Strip Club.

Vanessa Minnillo Throws a Bachelorette Party

We knew Vanessa Minnillo has good taste! She threw her friend a bachelorette party this past weekend at the Venetian Las Vegas, the same place we had Annie's almost a year ago. Vanessa and friends stayed in a 2 bedroom Penthouse suite that Vanessa decorated with pink and black balloons for a lingerie party.

The ladies had Kobe Meatballs, Margherita Pizza and Chicken Parmagiano washed down with  with Hpnotiq’s Bubbles and Blue cocktails at Lavo, before heading to the club upstairs to dance the night away to DJ Cobra.

Saturday found the ladies in a cabana by the Azure pool, doing mojito shots and eating cupcakes. For dinner, they went to Dos Caminos for fish tacos and blueberry pomegranate martinis. Then it was off to see David Spade perform at the Venetian Showroom. The last stop of the night was Tao for dancing. We know from experience that Vanessa Minnillo and her friends had a blast at the Venetian!

Ivanka Trump's Travel Diaries

We admit it-we have a full on girl crush on Ivanka Trump. She's smart, stylish, an intelligent business woman, a savvy designer and has some of the best highlights we've seen this side of a 5-year old. Sofia Vergera at the 2010 Emmy Awards

Sofia Vergera is a joy to watch on screen and just as charming on the red carpet. If you haven't been watching Modern Family you need to add it to your line up. Sofia look gorgeous last night, thanks in part to stylist Jenny Cho who gave her those beautiful waves. Here's how she did it:

1. Start off with a good foundation using Suave Professionals Almond and Shea Butter Shampoo and Conditioner. This will deliver moisture to the hair before styling.


2. Before blow drying, apply a small amount of Suave Professionals Healthy Curls Mousse to towel dried hair. This will help shape the curls and hold them in place.

3. Next, spray Suave Freeze Hold Hairspray onto small sections of hair before wrapping the section around a 2 inch barrel curling iron. For loose, voluminous waves, don’t close the tongue of the curling iron!

4. Finish off the look with the Suave Professionals Volumizing Finishing Spray. The lightweight formula will keep your curls intact without weighing them down.

Christina Hendricks at the 2010 Emmy Awards

Christina Hendricks was one of our favorite Emmy looks again this year. We love her coloring (that perfect red hair) and her amazing curves. Her smoky lilac Zac Posen dress complemented her perfectly. Lancôme celebrity makeup artist, Vanessa Scali, used Mia Farrow's character from "The Great Gatsby" as her inspiration. Here are the details on Christina's look:

Face:
Vanessa prepped the skin with Lancôme’s La Base Pro. To perfect Christina’s already luminous skin, Vanessa used Lancôme’s new Teint Miracle Lit-From-Within Makeup (pictured below). “It has an amazing transparent quality that leaves the skin looking flawless and luminous without being shiny,” said Vanessa. “I applied it with a brush and then blended with my fingers.” Blending with her fingers heated up the foundation a bit, allowing for a seamless finish. Vanessa followed with Effacernes Concealer under the eyes, her “all time favorite concealer.”

Cheeks:
For a fresh pop of color I used Lancôme’s Blush Subtil Shimmer in Pink Pool on the apples of her cheeks. Dabs of Giorgio Armani Beauty’s Fluid Sheer #2 highlighted Christina’s cheekbones.

Eyes
The eye shadow was mix of YSL’s Ombre Solo Eyeshadow in Cashmere Brown and Midnight Black. “I applied these all over her lid, under the bottom lashes and blended it out past her natural lash line to softly elongate the eye,” reported Vanessa.

Eye Liner:
To define and elongate the lash line, Vanessa lined the eyes with Lancôme’s Le Crayon Khôl in Black. “I used a touch of liner under her bottom lashes but smudged it for a softer look,” said Vanessa. For added depth, Vanessa used Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner in Noir at the very base of Christina’s lashes.

Mascara:
Several generous coats of Lancôme Définicils Waterproof Mascara in Black were used on the top and bottom lashes.

Lips:
Christina’s lips were a mix of Lancôme lip colors for an effect that Vanessa described as “red with a little dash of pink.” A sheer coat of Color Design Matte Lipstick in Corset was topped by La Laque Fever Lipshine in Cyber Coral.

January Jones at the 2010 Emmy Awards

We weren't impressed with January's Versace dress and her hair was more frizzy than glamorous; but her beautiful makeup by Chanel artist, Rachel Goodwin, was a different story. Rachel spoke about her inspiration,"For January's make up I was inspired by Irving Penn's iconic photos of his wife/supermodel Lisa Fonssagrives, whose signature extended eyeliner symbolizes the epitome of elegance. I used ultra feminine colours with super sculptural liner for a cool update on that classic late 50's silhouette."

Here's how she created January's look:

"I used Chanel Liquid Eyeliner in Noir along the lash line for an exaggerated cat eye effect, adding extra lashes on just the very outer edges for added length. I then applied two coats of inimitable Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir on the top lashes and one coat of Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara in Purple on the bottom lashes. The rest of the face I kept understated using minimal foundation, pale pink cream cheek colour and Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Confidence on her lips. I finished the look by dusting her brow bone and lids with a loose iridescent pearl shadow with a hint of purple to play off the super reflective quality of her dress."

Betty White Calendar

We wouldn't mind getting older if it really is as much fun as Betty White makes it look. The young-at-heart actress is starring in her own calendar, complete with hunky, young, shirtless men. Proceeds from the calendar benefit her Morris Animal Foundation. The calendar goes on sale in September. You go, Betty!
